Forest Whimsy fairy houses are one of a kind dwellings, created to present to the fairies as a gift. When a child places a fairy house in his or her room, it becomes a magical location where they can exchange notes and gifts with the fey folk.
The materials used are mostly natural, many of them gleaned from nature walks and then heat-sterilized to prevent unwanted tenancy. They range in size from very small with one room, to larger models that feature multiple landings and features such as ladders, nests, hammocks or swings, tiny acorn and glass marble lanterns, nests, crystal or mineral slices, snail shell mailboxes and much more.
They
are fun to decorate for the seasons
and holidays: add a leaf here, an acorn or other such find there, the house
can be ever changing!
I recommend you
place your fairy house indoors. If you want to put it outdoors, place it
in a sheltered area, such as a porch, and off the ground to make it harder for snails and
their friends to move in!
The fairy houses are sturdy, but have some delicate features. Let your children use their imaginations and play with them as they would a dollhouse!
Priced from $200 to $450.
